A typical day at Notre Dame

To any current or former students- what is a typical day like for you? Ex. How much time spent studying, at class, socializing, sleeping, etc? Thanks!

haha they never answer these idk....i've tried

Hi - I'm a sophomore at ND and I hope I can help you to get a better picture of life under the dome.

I am in the college of arts & letters, so I only spend about 15 hours a week in class. Obviously science majors are going to spend many more hours in class with labs and tutorials.

The amount I spend studying varies from week to week - just like high school. There are weeks when I only work as much as I did in high school, and there are weeks when I feel like all I do is study.

I think I average 5-6 hours of sleep a night, but I am a huge procrastinator (hence why I am on college confidential.) It is definitely possible to have time or 8-9 hours of sleep if you are disciplined.

I spend most of my social time with the other girls in my section and with my roommates. I will go to visit girls in other dorms, but there are few visits by guys or girls to dorms of the oppostie sex on your average week night.

Weekends - expected to put in many hours of work playing catch up from the week before. Most people have a work hard, play hard attitude around here, so also expected to go out on Friday and Saturday night.

I think that answers pretty well. What do you mean weedboy, I am here all the time answering questions like this. I can post a response if you want more info, just let me know.

oh no...not like that...i mean that students at ND on this site are more inclined to talk on chances threads...just what i've seen....i'm awful at making generalizations

lol, it is alright, I just wanted to make sure I was doing my job. I really want to help people with any of their ND questions, and if there is something that I am missing, then I want to make sure I answer it.

I think a lot of people just do chances threads because they are pretty short answers, but it is harder when you are trying to write about your college experience.

haha thats what i was aiming for....i should proofread more.....jeez i came here to get away from school
