for those at ucsd...could u please describe a typical week? pretty detailed would be good.
thanks

seriously, if you'd like to know from monday to friday it's usually busy with people on campus. weekends are DEAD.

we have the mall and that's pretty much it. other than that, we're notoriously known for being a boring campus with not much to do unless you have a car or you have your own fun with the people in your dorm.

b u m p
..

for most of the week you're in class or doing hw. then there's the gym or you hang out with friends or go to the town center, where there's an ice rink and shopping. there are usually movies playing in price center for 3 bucks about 3 times a week. most people just hang out with friends and find fun stuff to do on campus. if you want to have fun then you have to go out and find it, but there's usually lots of stuff to do if you make an effort. if you're the partying or clubbing kind of person, then you have to go off campus.

Here, the fun won't come to you - you have to go find the fun. If you don't make the initiative, you'll be miserable.

:)

=D haha, "the college experience is what you make of it", thats what i always hear.

I think sd sounds relaxing. the campus was pretty cool, and its so close to the beach. Although, yea, i'm not sure what else there is to do..

thanks for your comments. how many minutes from the beach? i am thinking going surfing every morning when in college.

depends on what specific college you choose. UCSD has 6 different colleges. Black Sands beach is the closest to campus. I think Muir college's closest and it's about a 15 minute walk, give or take, from the beach. The other beaches are a bus ride away.

how about earl warren? how long if i skateboard to the beach?

Warren's far from everything. Nothing's near there but the Price Center and engineering buildings.

what does that mean?

warren really isn't that far. sixth is far from everything and the only thing erc is close to is the gym. everything is spread out, but warren really isn't that bad. skateboarding to the beach would take a long time, however. the beach is closer to the muir side of campus.

thanks. sorry to ask this but how are the girls there (looks-wise)??

Given 10,000 women, you can't really generalize ;). You just need to be looking in the right places.

:)

sounds like a + to me... btw do u go to ucsd(even though it says ur from rockville, maryland) or do u just know alot about this school?

Im an out of state student =).

And yeah, having a large population is a plus in that there's something for every type, and if you're not happy where you are, you can just look somewhere else.

out of state (as in doesnt live in CA) but at ucsd or not even at ucsd

Cool Karthikkito. What college?

im legally a maryland resident (working on getting that changed) - but i'm a ucsd student. 81658, i'm at revelle :).

are u guys involved in any clubs and activities at ucsd?
