Are you in socal, midcal (Bay Area) or closer north?

SDSU does not require transcripts until May 1st, but they did require you to fill out their supplemental application by Feb 15th. The supplemental application is what they use to decide your eligibility for admission.

Okay CSUCI, and SFSU requested my transcripts that they be due January 31st I didn’t even know this until recently lol

I don’t really plan on going to a CSU but it’s nice to have a backup just in case.

I’m a little confused so hopefully one of you can help me out.

I’m trying to transfer to SDSU. I have all golden four completed, all csu breadth completed, all major prep completed, I’m local, and am eligible for the AA-T degree.
I already submitted the request for confirmation/evaluation for the AA-T degree at my community college. I am instructed to wait for my community college to email me an official document saying I’m good-to-go for the AA-T degree, and that I am supposed to make copies and send those out to the CSU’s I applied to. My question is: when is SDSU’s deadline for that official verification letter?

I checked everywhere on the site but couldn’t find it…also on the Transfer page on their website, it said my webportal may ask me to complete a form if I’m trying for the AA-T degree and that the deadline was Feb 1st, but I never even saw that request on my webportal despite my constant checking.

I think I’ve followed every step there is to transferring successfully/completing whatever needs to be completed for the AA-T degree. I’m just confused as to when my CC will send me that official evaluation form (they said by March 14) but doesn’t that mean my decision will be postponed if I might have to wait that long to send SDSU my verification letter??? Okay I’m super scared now. Someone help haha

@christinedoz

Do you by any chance go to PCC? Because I’m actually in the same situation! My cc is still in the process of mailing the verifications but I know that SDSU’s deadline to verify your AA-T is by the 15th (I called them). I think that might postpone your decision because the AA-T gives you that gpa boost that might benefit your chances of getting in. If you’re not sure how to send in the verification, you should call sdsu just in case your CC cuts it close to the deadline :)

@michy312 - I just walked into the counseling office today and they filled out and gave me the AA-T verification letter almost on the spot they just looked up my grad app and signed the verification letter they said it’s due by the 15th at the latest so don’t be late.

I’d go in and ask right away.

It’s really a very very simple thing they just sign a paper saying you filled out an AAT grad app and that you’ll be graduating with it in May and you fill out the rest and make copies and send them out to each CSU you applied to

@Matt4200 I did go ask my counseling office and they said that the school is mailing the verifications to the students and to just wait or come back a few days before its due if I haven’t received it by then. Do you go to pcc? I’ll go ask them again tomorrow though thanks for the heads up!

Do you have the recipt or copy of the grad app that you turned in?

Just show them that and they can fill out the verification letter.

The guy did my verification letter in under 60 seconds it’s extremely simple.

Yeaa I already delivered it to sdsu the other day hahah

@michy312 omg! I honestly thought I posted my old question in another forum and was confused when I couldn’t find it. But luckily I was looking around this site and saw that I posted it in HERE. So I’m sorry for the super late reply! I do not go to PCC. I’m assuming that’s Palomar? I go to SWC actually. And I was just e-mailed the AS-T verification form yesterday and immediately forwarded it to SDSU’s admission! I’m going to call tomorrow to make sure they received it. If not, I’ll have to personally go in and hand it to them. They didn’t tell me to fill anything out though? It just had my name printed, school, date I’ll earn the degree and which major/degree it is, oh and it had the evaluator’s signature at the bottom. Was I supposed to fill out my address and birthdate? I wasn’t instructed to do so…what did you do?

Pcc is in Pasadena. Lol

Yeah you’re supposed to fill out the top portion and the evaluator just fills out the bottom portion that’s the darker grey saying when you’re getting it and sign and print they’re name.

I turned mine in 2 weeks ago

Okay because my CC just gave it to me yesterday or else I would’ve had it done way before the deadline this Saturday. Also I need to fax it today (I was wrongly instructed to forward the e-mail but I called SDSU and they can’t open attachments). Hopefully I can call by tomorrow and already know if they’ve received it. Or I’ll just personally give it to them lol

Help! So I have been very diligent with visiting my transfer center at my cc to make sure that I didnt have to submit anything to verify my AA-T in communications after I petitioned for it in February. They told me that no action was required from me but I just found out that the AA-T preliminary verification was due March 15th?! I went back to my counselors and they said that my school has not yet sent out that verification so I have no idea what to do. Anyone else experience this problem? Will this interfere with me getting accepted?

Yes, it will interfere with you getting accepted. Some schools may be lenient, so call admissions ASAP.
