oh yeah, i already sent the FAFSA if that helps ne.

I have made the same mistake, please tell me what u r planning to do?
I have sent the fafsa but not the CSS Profile. Might as well wait for the letter

its no problem if you will get in :) I think

Hey, try to fax it!

faxed finaid documents are not officially accepted!

Are you seriously?????

I've sent my letters in February, but usually they go about 2 months to USA, so I decided to fax 'em.
Usually faxed documents are considered to be official. What a hell with univs?

I don't think they would wait for my letters until May.

Maybe try anyway?

College Reps, please help!!!!!

What do you send it by? Regular mail? You should use courier or at least airmail (even though in my case, airmail has taken anywhere from 6 days to 1 month).

But if you think your finaid app will reach em around May - do ALL you can to contact the finaid office and let them know. Better yet, send another app by courier!

As far as I know, most universities do not accept faxed financial documents!

So, to answer...

We prefer not to receive faxed forms, although for international students we will begin processing, but we do need to have the originals mailed to us.

Since the CSS Profile is an online form there is nothing to fax to us. That (and the FAFSA) have to be processed by a central service who sends the information to us. So, if you missed submitting the form, do it NOW!

I do understand the temptation to wait until the letter is received, but DON'T WAIT. We would rather have the form from someone who we don't admit than not have the information.

If the $18 is a problem (for Profile), then wait, but otherwise get it done...

Thanks Mr. Barkowitz,

So you advise to fax now these forms, and if I am admitted, you will get originals later, and that would be OK?

And can I send CSS International online?

Again, if you are an international student, go ahead and fax the form. That would be the International Student Financial Aid Application. If you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, we need the CSS Profile and that cannot be faxed.

Email pdf is also fine for the ISFAA, to our email address.

ok, i just sent my CCS form today (March 10th). what're my chances of receiving any aid from the CSS now that i'm 9 days late from the deadline?

also... what's the average amount granted for the CSS (on-time and late)?

We do not (yet) penalize late applicants. As for averages, check the SFS web page, but again remember we base all of our decisions on your personal need.
