Aap

I heard you can petition to be a part of AAP...is that true? Does anyone happen to know what the chances are of actually getting it if you're not from a group that traditionally is accepted into the AAP program (low income, etc)?

thanks.

lol AAP doesnt do you any good, does it?

i mean sure priority registration and tutoring but you can get that through other means.

priority registration goes for 3 groups of ppl:

1) athletes
2) college honors
3) aap

im in aap but i dont know how i got in...vaguely remember filling out a form...i mean technically im minority...but i really dont think asians are minority at ucla. oh well, im just enjoy the priority registrations lol.

The application is like a form plus an essay. Easy work for possibly gaining early enrollment IMO.

I got shafted: someone told me I was automatically in AAP because of my background, so i was looking forward to enrolling in classes early 2nd quarter. Turns out im NOT in AAP, and actually didn't get into a class i wanted to get into because it filled up :(

I'm procrastinating applying :P

I thought if you were invited to scholars day last quarter you were accepted to AAP. Eh, guess not. I did fsp so I didnt have to do paperwork and was automatically in it.
