about the essay..

hi ! I was going to start writing Rutgers Essay.. and i was wondering, how do i have to write it..??
essay prompt is
"Rutgers University is a vibrant community of people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. How would you benefit from and contribute to such an environment? Consider variables such as your talents, travels, leadership activities, volunteer services, and cultural experiences."

can i answer it as "I believe i can contribute... "
or
do i base it on an experience like a story..??

You can start it anyway you like, but be sure to include examples of your statements. Don’t just make statements without giving details.

Ooh, a story would be nice. Either way is fine :)

But I agree with rualum, if you are going to go the non-story telling route, make sure you just don’t say “For my whole life, I have been surrounded by diversity” and then just end it there without giving supporting details or examples.

a story would probably be more interesting and unique  especially something that’s personal. i actually had a lot of fun writing this essay last year.

The essay was different for me. I thought they changed it this year. I’m a transfer, but transfers have the same application as freshmen. Unless the essay changes once you select transfer in the application. Sorry I’m not helping, but I thought it was weird mine was different.

ok! thank you!! :)

and for ziggy 90>> i just checked the essay prompt and above one is correct… hmm weird…
