<p>I ask because I have a friend leaving New York that day and I have a Microeconomics RCT section scheduled for tuesdays but I mean the first time I go to that lecture is wednesday so I'm assuming that the first RCT will be the next tuesday?</p>

<p>Yes, generally there are no recitations the first week of classes. If you haven’t had a lecture yet then it wouldn’t make sense to have the recitation that first week. Sometimes if there’s a lecture on Thursday and then a recitation on Friday or something like that, they’ll hold a recitation but given your specific situation there won’t be class unless otherwise notified (I made that mistake my first day at NYU).</p>
