do you ever not miss class because your classmates are so unwilling to tell you the correct information? just curious if this is only my school

What?

Sorry... Your question doesn't really make sense.

it makes sense if you read it a couple times.
the title makes it slightly more confusing though.

It's weirdly worded. So is the question:

Do you ever go to class when you don't have to because you aren't informed of the situation?

not at my school although I have heard at many people's it is so extremely competitive that this happens. I feel really bad for you. How can you stand going to a school like that?

At my school noone ever misses class because if you do it's almost impossible to make up half the work and you will get a horrible grade on the test. Our teachers test on teh lectures mostly, and we have block scheduling.

Umm, does everyone hate you or something?

That must be one of the advantages about going to a so called "nationally competitive high school". You learn about cut throat competition at an early age. Take that you "I go to a high school ranked XX in the country, will this help me go to HYP" people!!!

Haha, it worked for me. Well, that's why you call three people per class so if their responses are different, then you know what's up. E-mail the teachers; ask them what you missed. I don't see why you can't do that.

yeah, talking to the teachers might be better than your friends... unless they want a reason for your skipping...

If someone actually did that, I'd like.. bich slap them!!
Everyone's pretty nice here.

Don't you get a calendar where it shows what days you go to school and what days you don't?

to clarify: Do you ever drag yourself into school because none of your classmates will tell you the homework and assignments you would have missed??

ie, you have to go to school on tuesday, because nobody will tell you the assignments assigned on tuesday

That sounds ridiculously competitive. I'm glad I don't go to a school like that, although I suppose I might have to deal with that sometime in my life.

Nevertheless, I always drag myself into school because I hate makeup work. I'd rather sit miserably through all my classes and take the test and get the notes than taking a week to catch up on work.

Of course, I always feel bad for going to school when I'm sick because I don't want to pass it on to other people. But my parents wouldn't let me stay home anyway. So.

In my school if you miss just a day of school esp. one with AP US in it, you are going to be overworked for the next week
