Basically, next year is my junior year, and for one of my hardest classes, I get assigned this woman.

I don't want to risk dealing with her pathetic teaching, how can I approach my counselor and persuade him to get me the hell out of there?

The classic “I’m not being challenged enough” line after a week or two

“She inhibits my learning,” give about a week for this one

Be honest. “I’m sorry Mr./Ms. Derp, but this teacher is lazy, complacent with her tenure, and you know it. Please, PLEASE MOVE MEEEEEEEE” then start crying or pretend to be Hamlet if she says no

I wouldn’t base everything off of that website. I read reviews about my Psych teacher and they were all fantastic and made him seem glowing-- but I despised him. So you could end up loving this teacher.

The reviews on the site pretty much line up with what I’ve heard from others who have already taken her class. And I really don’t want to risk it, this is the most important year of my high school career.

Something must have happened… On page 8 or so, all of the reviews are good, but since then, she’s been going downhill.

Just go to the counselor and be straightforward. This looks to be a pretty bad situation you’re in.
