Hi,

I was wondering if anyone takes the AC Transit to SF Downtown, online schedules say it takes about 50 minutes for AC Transit, and I was wondering if this is true. Also, is it posible to do homework on the bus ride? I know Bart should take around 20 minutes, but does anyone have an opinion on which is better and why?

Thanks

The BART takes ~25 minutes (not 20) to Embarcadero. The AC Transit bus takes between 45 minutes and an hour. You can read on the bus/BART, but can’t do homework on either one.

to me, AC transit is the better option mostly cause it’s FREE!!!(with class pass). yea, it does take take like 50 minutes, but there’s a stop right outside the Student Union so it kinda balances out cause u’ll have to commute to downtown berk before u can take the bart.

I commute in the morning and some evenings to/from SF for work and find that it takes less time to take the E or FS bus than it does to take BART, but those buses only run during commute hours. All other times, I usually take AC Transit cause it is “free” with Class Pass, but sometimes take BART if I’m in a hurry or if I’m going to/from the Mission.
