Academic Competitiveness Grant

I qualified for the ACG and I turned in an application for it on FAFSA back in July. However, Cal never factored it in my financial aid package. What is up!? Also, if I do get the ACG eventually, will they decrease the amount of loans I get?

Call the department and talk to your financial aid person. My D's was initially not given due to a clerical error. They were excellent to work with, checked into it quickly and remedied the error within a week, but you have to ask!

What is this grant? I've never heard of it.

More info please! I'm probably going to go to Berkeley, so I want every scholarship I can get.

It should be automatic once the system is set up, you do not need ot apply for it, but there are many little requirements, so if you think you are eligible and it does not show up on your fin aid package, be sure to ask them to review your case.
