So i have an academic hold (failed to meet academic standing) on my tritonlink

but this can not be since i have have good academic standing every quarter, i have never been on academic probation. it says it does not let me add or drop classes. at the time of this post, their offices are closed and i have emailed multiple advisors. but in the meantime, hopefully i can get an answer here.

so i am wondering if anyone has ever had this happen to them and to tell me what is happening

how many units do u have? not 100% sure but it may be because you have too many units and they need to see that you actually have a plan to graduate on time. i’m speaking from personal experience because i changed my major A LOT of times and just had to submit some application listing my plans for the next however many more quarters i had left. also had to file my dda.

to ccnoob:
So I can’t take 20 units every time, because I could get a hold. I don’t understand it?
I am a second year Aerospace Engineering, but I am planning to do minor in CSE and I need to take 20 units every quarter. I will graduate in 4 years.
Do you know anyone, who did that?

seniorsfo: Just petition for approval when you’re nearing the unit cap (230units for engineers and 240 for engineers in revelle), and don’t wait until a hold will affect your registration. Also, the unit cap is for UC credit and any transfer credit that satisfies GE/major reqs. Other transfer, AP and IB credit doesn’t count. It is actually pretty difficult to hit the unit cap even if you’re taking 20+ unit quarters.

i didnt say you cant take 20 units every time because you could get a hold so not sure where you got that from. for me i was going to hit the unit cap the next quarter so i had to prove to them that i would be graduating soon and then they got rid of the hold.

and no, i do not know any aerospace engineering majors minoring in cs.
