19 suicides after scoring issues. Testing for placement has seriously jumped the shark.
Wow. Test issues in India led to almost 20 suicides an no one has a comment!
I am not familiar with the testing practices in India but briefly researching the CBSE showed me that test score errors have been an issue for several years. It is a shame that students feel that have no reason to live based on this external score and the families have my deepest sympathies on the loss of their children.
I don’t know enough about the system there either but it’s horrifying that so many students felt their lives were over because of an exam. That is a failure on so many levels.
That’s both tragic and appalling. No child deserves that much pressure.
