Accent

<p>You still know 2 languages. Your native language would be an interesting conversation hook. In fact, I recently met someone who was studying some even more obscure language. I found it interesting to learn about it.</p>

<p>If this is the main social issue in your life, you need to find deeper, less superficial friends. Accents are cool, but they're not who you are...find people who can get over the cultural differences and just relate to you as an intelligent human being, not "that hottie with an accent."</p>

<p>i think you're exagerrating the OP's question/concern. it was just an honest curious question. i don't think he/she said anything to make it seem like the "main social issue" in their life.</p>

<p>I was told I had a Michigan accent today. I've NEVER heard that one before. Supposedly I say stuff like "Wisconsin" funny.</p>

<p>Accents are a big part of who you are because they relate to your national or regional origin.</p>

<p>It's not an insult. Accents are cool. Even ones from different parts of the US.</p>
