Future LSU alumnus, what adam cole said is correct. LOL, around half the freshman class is gone after the first year. They make this clear during orientation, when you attend orientation pay attention. Generally, if you major in some liberal arts or some type of communications you can get away with partying like its 1999. But, as far as science, math, and engineering majors, forget about it. They want you to worship, eat, and sleep your curriculum. I know of a few people who partied a bit, and didn’t study to much who made A’s. But, they also took a heavy curriculum in HS such as Differential Equations. I mean if you have already taken Diffy Eq in HS, I would say your ahead of the game, and can party your first 2 years or so. People like that usually test out of their first 2 years anyway, and are know to graduate at 20 years old. This is college people, use your time wisely, and stay on top of your work, and still try to enjoy yourself, just not too much.

Hello! I’m new to this and i would just like to say that I am honored to express my feelings about collge to people who listen. My grades have not been all A’s and because of that my gpa was below a 3.0 the last 9 wks of school.

I know that I can do better and I pray everyday that they will accept me.

you will get in, they must look at other state educations better because i didnt have that good of grades and i got in. im from nys which has the hardest testing for public schools though. which makes me believe they look at certain states as beter for public school education.

I don’t mean to get in your business but were you a 3.0 or above student during your 4 years of highschool?

If you get a decent ACT, a GPA just less than 3 is no big deal.

So what ur saying is that i could make a 22 on my act and if my gpa is like a 2.8 bcuz of i mostly had b’s and c’s i could get in.

I have my future all planned out after high school!!! So can sum1 pleaze hlp me. Im totally freaking out and i dont even graduate until nxt year.

it’s incredibly easy to get in; so stop freaking out…

…based on your stats thus far, I’d say you’ll get in.

I feel soooooo much better now bcuz u guys aren’t the only 1’s who tell me i’m goin to get in, but my family does too and i hope i do becuz i don’t dream of goin to any other colleges. So is it really that easy to get in? By the way im really following n my uncle’s footsteps becuz he wnt there.

You won’t get in.

y would u say something like that?

What are your scores? I don’t think you mentioned them, but I could have missed them.

Register for the June SAT or ACT. Or both if you really want. Did you take the PSAT this year, or the Plan test last year?

But I would recommend taking the June ACT if you have never taken a college entrance type test before. The only real reason is you would have an extra week to study, the SAT is offered a week earlier. Hopefully, I don’t know where you live, you get out of school in like late May. That will give you about 2 weeks to study for this test without worrying about regular school. But it is best to start studying now.

If you are going to take the SAT, buy “the Blue Book”. Its a big blue book that the College Board puts out and and its called “The Official SAT Practice…” something. Practice, and go over your mistakes.

If you are going to take the ACT, buy the Big Red book, lol. I think it is called something like “The Real ACT Guide”. It is made by the people who make the ACT tests.

I’d also recommend getting a strategy book from the library.

If you get a 23, you should be ok with around a 2.8, but I wouldn’t really call it safe. Try to bring your GPA up.

If you get a 25+(with prep I think you can), you should be fine for LSU.

Good luck.

Trying to inspire you to do better.

Thanks and i promise ill do better. By the way i was already going to register for the June act. lol

Did any of u take 2 yrs of foreign languages?

Yeah, I’ll have three years done by the time I’m a senior and I don’t plan on taking a 4th year.

automatic acceptance with 3.0GPA and 22ACT/1030 SAT (out of 1600). You are fine.

Ok. so r u at lsu at this point? What do u mean automaticlly get in with 3.0 Do u mean that a person can do good their senior yr and get a 3.0 and get a 22 on the act and still get n?

my freshmen year in high school i made A’s & B’s and one C. My sophomore year i start making everything. can i still get into LSU? im a junior right now.
