Acceptance for Class of 2021

Has anyone received an acceptance into Stevens for the class of 2021?

Check ur application status page. There should be an update.

I’m in, anybody else?

Nope

Still no. Received a “Priority Application Email”. I’m not sure they know what “Priority” means.

My son got accepted early decision. Interested in computer science.

Still waiting. Sent an email to their admissions department and received no reply.

@Crazykid123 If you don’t mind me asking, what was your GPA, Sat score, and what classes and extracirruculars did you take? Did you have an interview?

Will RD applicants really have to wait until April 1? Anyone hearing anything?

Haven’t heard anything! Hope we don’t have to wait until April 1st!!!

“Priority” is a joke.

@STEM2017 last year it was a few days before, about Mar 28 I believe.

@STEM2017 Last year we heard at the very end of Match. It was literally the last school we heard from.

@STEM2017 Not sure where I got the info from, but in my spreadsheet of info for each school I have notification date for Stevens as 3/27/17 so take it with a grain of salt.

I was accepted today with a 22k merit award. I’m an international student so I’m not eligible for financial aid. However, 44k a year is wayyy too much for my family to afford. I’m so sad and terrified right now :frowning:

Should I ask them for more? I got accepted at Gatech but they don’t give financial aid/scholarships for international students so I have to pay 48k a year. The only financially viable option for me right now is the College of Wooster, which gives me 37k merit award (so I have to pay 22.5k /year).
Do you think I should email Stevens to ask for more aid?

Merit aid is not negotiable.
Institutional aid is negotiable.
Since Stevens didn’t give you Institutional aid you can not negotiate with them about that.

I know you are struggling last minute but I’m sure you prepared yourself with the knowledge that there isn’t much aid for international students in the United States.

At this point you could:
1-go forward with the expense (which I wouldn’t recommend).
2-Or you could do a quick search for other Rolling Colleges that are still accepting applications.
3-Or you could take a gap year and wait till next admission cycle occurs and try with a more thoughtout list.
4-Or you could go to a community college that offers college credits that may offer a little bit of aid; community colleges are usually very inexpensive.

International here with 18k award.

@Dandellion Stevens doesn’t care about you. Even if they increased your award, I would be surprised if they gave you more than 25k total.

@Dandellion go ahead and ask for more: the worst they can say is, ‘no’.

Don’t be scared or terrified. If College of Wooster is doable, do that! Tell Stevens what they offered you and see if they will match it.

Always have a Plan B and don’t think you only have one option. Many paths lead to success.

Good luck!~

Does anybody know when domestic applicant decisions will be posted?
