I just read that ACT scores determine when you get your acceptance letters. 34 and above = November, 30-33 = December, and then the rest in February. Does anyone agree?
Not necessarily. There is more to the picture as to when you get your letters. Higher merit students are getting them early, but not just by test scores. If you go through the Tigertown bound thread you can see different stats that don’t go by those exact lines. There are those with 28 and 29s who have gotten letters and those with 35’s who haven’t yet. For example, Palmetto Fellows in SC get letters in December and that’s not based on test scores, (although I know several who haven’t gotten theirs yet). And some states have a bigger backlog of applicants and it takes longer to go through the stacks.
Not true
29 ACT accepted this week
@camcam2022 if you read @Baxter126 post above he specifically says a 29act may get in early and a 35 might not.
As I understand from reading posts and talking to admissions. They admitt the majority of students on feb 15. Clemson is not true roiling admission. Those that get in before Feb 15 are based on good criteria and also a great deal of variables including major and which state there are from.
Moreover unlike lots of schools, Clemson looks at three Important and almost exclusive criteria. Test scores, GPA and class rank. As I understand it EC really mean nothing to a Clemson admissions. However if your student looking to get into Calhoun Honors College that those other things matter.
@Baxter126 if I am mistaking anything please correct.
