Acceptance? Low Test scores; Dual Enrollment creds +++++

So, here’s the deal:

I suck at math. Hate it. Loathe it–my brain does not function mathematically. Never has. I just took ACT the 24th and am hesitating sending in my App for the new scores to hit. I have 3 problems:

  1. I take SAT in Novemeber for the first time. Not worried about it.

  2. I math score is low. FSU require a minimum of a 21; I have a 18. Here’s the thing though, I’ve been in college the last two years in FL via Dual Enrollement and graduate this Spring with an AA at the same time I get a high school diploma. Throwing this into the mix, I have completed all of my college Math requirements and am done FOREVER. All my college math credits are completed for as long as I live and I have obtained Bs in all of them accept college Algebra which is a C and is the only unsatisfactory grade to ever touch my transcript.(Journalism/Communications major. WASSUP)

  3. FSU Superscores, here’s my break down right now:
    Reading: 23/24
    Math: 18
    Writing(with essay): 30

My GPA is a 3.5(weighted)
4.1(unweighted)
College GPA: 3.5

I know this is a doosy. I myself am overwhelmed and while alot of people are telling me that I won’t have a problem getting in given that I did Early College and will be graduating with an AA. I’m a terrible test taker and it’s nerve wracking for me. Hell of a reader but ACT makes me shut down.

Is it too much to hope for academic probation?

Would appreciate the input!

We went through the same situation with my D last yr. poor math scores on SAT and ACT great GPA dual enrolled and plenty of EC’s. My D also received her AA upon graduation. For us. She was deferred in December and then denied in Spring. When we called Admissions they told us to reapply once she had her AA. We did and she started Fall 2014 without any problems. Good luck!
