<p>I'm with Sugababe on this one. I've been checking so much it's gotten to the point where on my breaks at school (like now) I'm checking my SOLAR account. </p>
<p>Chris, will my Application Status update if I'm not accepted as well? If this happens and I reapply next year, will I have a different Student ID number?</p>
<p>The hard part about this kind of forum is that I really can't give any of you specifics, because all I know about you is a username. I don't know if transcripts have been received, or if we need to wait for spring grades, or any of that. We've started sending out decisions for transfers, I think, but if for some reason we never received a transcript from you, or your name is spelled wrong and it didn't match up with your file or something crazy like that, then all the SOLAR-checking in the world won't help you. So I'm sorry that I can't give you more details here! :(</p>
<p>Yes, your status will update once a decision is made... but it takes a week or so for you to see it. Theoretically, you'll get the letter first.</p>
<p>If for some reason you have to reapply down the road, you'll keep the same Stony Brook ID number.</p>

<p>I sent an e-mail a few days after I sent everything, when I figured everything would be in, and I got an e-mail back that same day saying my assumptions were correct; SBU did in fact recieve all of my information.</p>
<p>Chris, I was not aware that if I give you or someone from the Admissions Office in SBU my name and information, I could get an answer right away. In fact, I pretty much thought you weren't allowed to discuss my admission status until I got a letter. Am I right in assuming such?</p>
<p>Well, certainly not on an open forum like this, but if only you all had a way of contacting someone who worked in the office directly... we can't give you a decision over the phone, but we could at least tell you what's up with your file, or give you a reasonable timeline as to when you might hear.</p>

<p>I got my rejection letter from Binghamton about a month ago, I'm anticipating one from Stony too any day now...</p>
<p>My Solar has been stuck on "Your Application is Complete. The admissions committee will be making a decision shortly." for about a week now... which scares me.</p>

<p>Imagine today is transfer day at my school and a stony brook rep was there. So I asked why I haven't heard anything, and he said if i haven't heard by now chances are all seats are filled up. I said are you trying to make me panic lol.</p>
<p>I also got in UB, NYU Poly and possible NYIT</p>
<p>I am leaning towards UB, I still have no idea about where I want to go unfortunately.</p>
