<p>Don't assume, neutral. You never know. I love SBU too but was rejected because I have less than 24 credits. If you don't get in, you can do what I'm planning on doing and apply for the Spring '10 semester. Still, I hope you do get in. Starting the Fall semester at a new school is better because it's the beginning of a new school year. </p>

<p>Had 22 college credits and 3.7 and deans list and Rejected. What can you say still waiting to hear from Binghamton. Congratulations to all who got in.</p>

<p>Anybody find it odd that I get accepted in Binghamton and Buffalo but get rejected from SBU as a freshmen transfer?</p>

<p>from what i’ve heard, stony brook has received a LOT of transfer apps this year for Fall 09 and apparently getting in to SBU has been unusually competitive.</p>

<p>I’m a transfer applicant who applied in october and still havent heard anything. Have 55 credits with a 3.97 GPA (one B+ in Art 101). Will have 70 credits at the end of this semester.</p>

<p>And my application status still says thank you for applying etc. does not even say if my application is complete.</p>

<p>Well I didn’t give the whole truth</p>

<p>I received a letter on April 1st saying I needed to send in my fall 08 grades(remember I applied in the middle of Fall 08), so I dropped off(hand delivered) my transcripts at the transfer office April 2nd. I then called April 6th to make sure everything was in order and I don’t know with whom I talked to but she told me they had my transcripts and everything was good. I had sent my transcripts containing everything prior to Fall 08 back in october.</p>

<p>In early-march I had called to ask to make sure everything was ok, and the lady basically jerked me around and said if we didn’t have everything you would’ve gotten a letter by now and that’s all she would do for me. Never even asked my name or looked anything up.</p>

<p>I’m basically freaking out because this is the only school I applied to, and anadmissions advisor at stony brook said I would get in without a doubt. I have really high hopes of going to this school since it is the only school on LI that offers an ME degree that I can afford to attend.</p>

<p>Bingo. There’s actually a possibility that your transcript hasn’t been scanned and indexed to your file yet; it usually takes about week for a document to work its way through our process.</p>

<p>Either way - call tomorrow and ask to speak with a counselor and we’ll see what’s up.</p>
