Hey guys,

I'm curious -- Tulane had 44,000 applications this year! Does anyone know what the actual acceptance rate was?

Nothing official yet I don’t think, but Prez Cowen said towards the end of March that it looked like about 20%.

My guess, based on last year, is that it will be more like 22 or 23%. Still very low. It will also be interesting to see the SAT average, I hear it has increased this year.

Yeah! I went to visit last week and they told us the stats went up a lot! I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the admit rate was lower than 20%, but we shall have to see!

becca - You still trying to decide? Who are the contenders?

nope! I’m decided…Tulane! – roll waveeee <3

becca!! That’s great. Congrats!!

I just phoned the admissions office, and the rate is 24% for this past admissions season.

Great! Thanks for the info.

thank you so much for getting that info!

Keep in mind all, that there will be 2 reported SAT/ACT ranges: one for accepted students, and that for enrolled students. Can be quite different, once the wait list shakes out…

Yes, that is very true. The rumor is that they already have enough commitments to know the average will be higher. The number taken from the waitlist will probably be small enough that it won’t measureably affect anything, but we will see. All rumor so far, except for the 24% acceptance rate. Assuming repetio’s info was correct, of course.

We just came back from Destination Tulane and were given the same acceptance number - around 23/24%.

Thanks nj_mom. So how was your trip? Positives? Negatives? Haven’t recovered from Bourbon Street yet?

Funny. I just posted a novel. Take a look! It was fantastic!!!
