So I was wondering what is the exact-ish acceptance rate for Duke Early Decision? And what do you think will be the acceptance rate for this fall? Oh, and how is the early rate as compared to Penn's early rate? Like, is it harder to get into Duke than Penn or the other way round?

That is all :) If someone could answer these questions it'd be helpfullllll :)

I think traditionally, the ED acceptance rate has been around 30%-ish. I’m not even gonna try to predict the numbers for this year because I’ll probably fail.

Oh thanks everyone for answering the questions! I’m assuming now that the ED rate is 30% or around that much. But do you think it’s harder to get into Duke or Penn ED? Because both of them have almost the same rate so I’m kind of wondering which one is easier… Like what does Duke look for more as compared to Penn? Pleaseeee someone answerr that It’d be beyond helpful!

They are about the same ED. UPenn fills up half of its entire incoming class through its binding ED program, while Duke fills up about a 1/3, but they have similar acceptance rates ED. Both also give fairly significant preferential treatment to legacies ED (and a lot of legacies apply ED), so that inflates the ED numbers.
