acceptance revoked?

what does it take to get your acceptance revoked? i have 3 high C's in my AP classes, and it's not that i'm not trying it's that I just don't understand the courseload. Two of the AP classes, APES and Euro, have nothing to do with my intended major of accounting, and I took AP Calc after taking three years of college prep math, and I'm also taking a second math class called Advanced Math college prep. Should I be worried? My schedule is by no means easy, 3 ap's, two honors classes, and an honors elective.

I wouldn’t be too worried but I would work on doing your best over the last month or so. Believe me, college work is tough and if you can’t understand the courseload, I would be slightly worried about your ability to perform really well in college coursework. Last year, I made a bad decision to slack off on my schoolwork 2nd semester senior year and that definitely affected me 1st semester with my study skills.

I don’t think you’ll get your acceptance revoked unless you get a D but finish strong so that you can start off college academically strong!

In the off chance that I do get a D in one of those classes, would the fact that it is an AP class make it okay? I know that doesn’t sound good, but it was definitely a mistake to take AP Calc after taking college prep math for three years and I hope they would realize that. And woudl the fact that my courseload is really difficult this year help me greatly?

I really can’t answer that since I’m not an admissions officer. Just work on doing the best you can and if you do that I’m sure you won’t have to worry about anything.

College coursework is similar to the coursework that you face in AP classes. It’ll help you because you’re already used to having a lot of work. However it won’t help you if you keep getting C’s. Next year it sounds like you’re going to have to utilize a lot of resources to help you understand the course material such as going to see professors in office hours, tutoring, Supplemental Instruction etc…

FYI supplemental instruction is available in many large introductory classes. A student who has previously taken the class and has gotten an A in it will sit in your class and hold night review sessions 2-3 times a week to help you understand the material.

I think it’ll help to be taking classes that I have an interest in, unlike APES and AP euro which I hate.

That’s definitely true, I have done much better in classes in my major and have done miserable in general education classes.

Take a look at this website before you start first semester: [College Survival Skills](http://www.clemson.edu/collegeskills/INDEX.HTM)

alright thanks pierre

any other opinions/past experiences with such an issue?
