Acceptance thread for 2010 class

pats njbrynn's back its coming......in due time.

Syracuse just called my to congratulate me on my acceptance and answer any questions I had. They also asked me if Syracuse was in my top 3. I thought it was a nice touch on their part, did anyone else get a phone call?

aw thanks melo wipes lone tear

wait! pat my back too! I am also still waiting on newhouse :(

paris87 ***? i didnt get a call. is it cuz im outta state and they dont wanna call long distance?

pats lemondrop024's back also everything will be ok.

u guys want some warm milk and a blankie? aww poor babies...

I'm out out of state too ( but not as from I'm from MA). I have caller ID and I saw they called two nights ago ( noone picked up) then then called back the following night ( my mom picked up but I wasn't home) So the SU student who called said she would call back in an hour and then I finally picked up and was able to talk to her.
I think only some schools do this. The only other school to call and ask me if I had questions after my acceptance was Simmons College in MA.

yes paris, we got that same call last night and they asked if my d had decided on syracuse. i told them that she was waiting to hear from all the schools. was that ok do you think?

I told them I was waiting to hear from other schools too. I think thats ok because we are already accepted, and its not like we are trying to impress the school anymore. The power is now basically in our hands and the various schools are now trying to impress us. The schools also understand we need to hear form all our choices to decide.

thanks paris ... you're exactly right. my d wants to see all her options and there is nothing wrong with that

yea........but i still didnt get a call.

Did you get an email melosyracuse? The school i was accepeted into ( Human services and health studies) sent me an email today asking if I had any questions saying I could call/ email and sent a link to the accepted students site. Maybe only specific schools at Syracuse do this..

i got in RD and got a 12 thou scholarship of some type...

what's up guys? I got a call last night from a junior at the College of Arts & Sciences…he seemed kind of nervous on the phone but it was cool, I asked about transferring to Newhouse after a semester or whatnot, because I want to do communications but applied to a different program because my grades weren’t up to par with Newhouse’s averages. He helped me out with that saying a 3.5 after the first semester should get it done. Then I asked about the night life and whatever and he said it’s not a big deal about the location because the parties and other activities are great – the call was helpful but I think you need to take some of it w/a grain of salt, just because no student calling will ever say the nightlife is bad, you know?

My daughter's call was two weeks ago. She was accepted to Newhouse.

I got an email last night from Syracuse, around 5:30PM, and it said to click on a link that would take me to view the letter I'd be receiving in the mail. Extremely nervous and excited, I clicked the link:
I was asked to enter a CMS username and password?
What are they talking about!? I entered everything I could think of, including the username/pass that I used to fill out my application.
However, nothing worked!
This is such a tease, can someone please tell me what's going on?
I have the decision about me right in front of me - but I can't get to it!
Help!

Im assuming they want your orange number which is located on every piece of mail they send you and your birthdate mm/dd/yyyy, if that doesn't work i would call them and ask them that way...
