Well so far I've only got three replies out of 8 unis (US and UK together) so i'm not sure. I'm hoping to get Parsons or RISD, so we'll have to see.

haha its ok, yeah i dont know why i only submitted it a couple of days before the deadline. I reckon it could be cos im an international student

Well when I was researching unis for art and design i wanted to find at least one school which wasn't specialist but still suitable to get a good enough degree. I found Syracuse and the university really appealed to me because I thought the course seemed just as good as some of the ones offered at specialist schools. Also even though its not in New York City its close enough and thats a plus cos its my favourite out of all the places Ive visited in the States. The main idea of applying to Syracuse was so Id get a chance to meet all sorts of people instead of just artists and designers. Although this is really important to me, I still would prefer to go to RISD which has Brown nearby anyway or Parsons which is in NYC and I reckon you could meet tons of ppl there anyway plus my sister goes to Columbia and itd be nice to be near her.

What was it for you? What college in Syracuse did you apply to for Computer science?

well my biggest thing was getting out of the state of georgia. its always like this big dream for people in to move to new york and live this glamorous life blah blah. lol. but i learned that i dont like being in cities with alot of people. i would walk around atlanta and people would be in my way and i would get so mad. i thought atlanta was overcrowded and i knew it was nothing compared to new york. so i scrapped my plans to apply to nyu and looked at syracuse. the city is smaller. theres more of a college experience because it actually has a campus vs. nyu which is right on the street. and its really big on sports and i love sports schools. also, my favorite basketball player used to play for them. but thats only about .01% of the reason i looked at it lol. i applied to the l.c smith college of engineering and computer science for computer science. ive herd tho that their communications and art schools are the best. i really hope u come, we could prolly meet up. u seem pretty cool.

haha thanks, likewise. i am strongly considering syracuse, i think if i get a good merit scholarship i might go...In the end my decision will be based on how much i have to pay as well as how good the school is. I just hope I pick the right one!

I completelyyy know what you mean about getting out of where you live. I live in this tiny tiny little island where everyone knows everyone and theres absolutely nothing to do!! When i went to New York i loved it - i love the busy, crazy, non-carish lifestyle. I think after living in a place where the whole country knows your every move (only a slight exaggeration) - living somewhere where you can just feel anonymous and be able to do something different every weekend would be brilliant. I could be being dorkishly idealistic here, but hey - why not dream?

If I go, meeting up would be cool. After i met someone from Georgia at this model united nations conference in Holland, I'm kind of a sucker for the atlanta accent

lol @ the atlanta accent. yea i kno goin to syracuse my accent will make me stand out among all those new yorkers. i hope i dont get made fun of.

everyones been to model un xept me. whut exactly is it?
