Acceptance to West Point?

I am wondering if there was a chance I could be accepted to West Point. I am currently in the Air Force JROTC offered at my school and I was the assistant commander of the Armed Exhibition Drill Team my junior year and senior year. I have a 4.3 weighted GPA 3.7 unweighted. I am active in my school: I was in the band and active in my youth group and had a leadership role F - S year, Fellowship for Christian Athletes club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, track, and swim team Soph - S year, National Honor Society Jun - S year. I dont have many leadership roles and my academics are somewhat adequate. Is there any chance I could find myself being accepted to West Point?

Have you made your desires known to your AFJROTC instructors? They can perhaps assist you with any academy candidacies. Start with them. Also post here

no i have not but i certainly will talk to my army recruiter in the future and my ROTC instructors

I’m concerned about your academics being “somewhat adequate”. They need to be better than that - strong GPA and good SATs/ACTs.

You can also inquire about various ROTC scholarships beyond just aiming for USMA. Also know that an Army recruiter may or may not direct you towards one of these officer routes.

And ROTC scholarships are also very competitive right now. It doesn’t hurt to ask and apply.

You need to have pretty strong SATs. Also, you have to contact your congressman or senator.
