One of my friends was accepted to Davidson this weekend. She is a finalist for the President's/Presidential Scholarship (not sure about the name but it's the socioeconomic diversity one). I'm so happy for her but jealous too : ) I want some good news in the form of college mail.

While I'm at it, has anyone noticed how Davidson doesn't have a link in the Alphabetic List of Colleges Section?

Let me clarify a little, she did not get the offical admissions packet. No big envelope and such. She got a notification letter that she was a finalist for a scholarship and also accepted to Davidson (because she is a finalist).

i got a finalist letter for the music scholarship and will be attending the Scholarship Weekend in April to perform a live audition. While the letter didn't say i had been accepted, i would assume that being a finalist for their scholarships (when the Scholarship Weekend is AFTER decisions come out) is definitely a good sign.

BTW, DC doesn't have a link in the alphabetical section because it's included in the "Top Liberal Arts Colleges" section. The other schools that have sections (Ivies, Top Univs, etc.) aren't in there either.

gadad, that holds true for many of the schools in Top LAC but then some do have links in the alphabetical section...it seems that every LAC alphabetically before Grinnell has no link in the alphabetic section but Grinnell and every LAC after it does have a link. Weird...
