DrDimz have you received an acceptance packet yet and are you just using the Cxxxxx id that we all got when we applied or did you have to authenticate your # or did you reveice a completely differnt one?

DrDimz-I am curious how you were able to register for orientation when it says it doesn’t open up until April 1st.

Does anyone know how to get the CUID without going onto TouchNet? When I try to go to TouchNet it says internal error.

I was able to log in to get to the page for housing and orientation (though it said orientation wouldn’t open until April), but when I tried to do the Bridge program, it gave me the message about questions about eligibility. I assume that means my daughter got in but doesn’t have to do the bridge program. Which is good. Clemson isn’t her first choice – it would have been had she not heard from her first choice a week ago. It COULD be her first choice if she got a scholarship, but that seems unlikely at this point.

I was able to log onto TouchNet two days ago, but not now.

Hi Alex23, when you were able to log in did you use the original id# the Cxxxxxxx that we all received when we applied? So anxious here!

Sorry for posting so much, but after entering your CID number to the “authenticate your username” like, what username and password do you use? The one to get onto iRoar?

I viewed the housing page and it said that you have to enter your XID# and create a user name. it says this info. will be in your Tiger Town Bound envelope which contains your acceptance letter. Housing page also says you can begin applying for housing on Feb. 15th. Still keeping my fingers crossed to get a Tiger Town Bound packet here in NJ

Southern Dude:

If you were already accepted to Virginia Tech it would have been through their Early Decision program, at which point you would have to pull all other applications from the schools to which you had applied.

When I log into touchnet, my balance is $0.00 but I am able to pay the $200 through maneuvering around like the site directs. I used the Bridge program link and it says I am eligible for the Bridge program but haven’t declared interest yet. I’m getting really anxious about this and I just wish I could fast forward to Tuesday.

meredev where did you access the bridge program? did you use your id# that we all got when we applied or did you receive a new one? So anxious to hear and i cant believe tomorrow is a holiday with no mail delievery!!

Laxboy, I used the original C number from her application confirmation. Don’t know if it means anything or not. Really just futzing around because I actually can’t believe they make you wait until February 15 then don’t even have it then. Crazy.

woosah,

Virginia Tech has a special program called “Fall Visitation” (not Fall Open House) where they try to recruit certain populations of students like URM’s, or for instance, women to engineering…there were about 120 students there in October. They do an “on-site” evaluation of one’s application, and give the decision right then. I was handed my acceptance in an envelope in mid October, 2012. This acceptance is NOT early decision, and is non-binding–I thoroughly explored the language of the acceptance before going down this road. A lot of folks don’t seem to know about this program, so I get asked this a lot, which is fine, but I am definitely not obligated to go to VT but I will love to go there anyways–looks like it is in the cards :)

woosah- I applied regular to Virginia Tech and have already been accepted. My decision was posted online.

<a href=“How to connect to iROAR from off-campus | CCIT Web Site”>How to connect to iROAR from off-campus | CCIT Web Site; is where I got the Bridge program information. I did use the original ID starting with C that everyone should have received for that one!

Alex23, did you log into Iroar and get thru? I cannot access it anymore since it has been updated. If Clemson wasnt my sons 1st choice i wouldnt be so stressed about it. Our stress factor up here is in overdrive. Clemson is his “reach” school. He has good gpa and class standing also plays varsity sport and alot of CS, however, his SATs were only a 1520. I too cannot believe how long we have had to wait. Good luck to you!

meredev thanks! what is the bridge program anyway?

I can still totally access iROAR and can pay if I want to, but that is all I can do. I just tested this out a minute ago. I give up, I have no clue as to what it means. I guess I’d feel better if I could access orientation and housing stuff, but alas, that is not so.

Has anyone noticed that when you get in to Iroar and go thru the process to pay the $200 that your name is there or is it blank like mine. It says deposit $200 but no name is next to it.

The Bridge program is basically Clemson saying you missed admission for your freshman year narrowly but they want to keep you around. You go to the tech college near Clemson for the freshman year and then the next year, you transfer into the “real” Clemson. I’m sorry for not clarifying before. I’m in SC, so Clemson admissions are usually very well known at my school and I apologize for being so ignorant and assuming everyone knew what it was!

This site should tell you more about it: [TCTC: Bridge to Clemson](http://tctc.edu/Content/Academics/Explore_Special_Programs/Bridge_to_Clemson.xml) :)
