the wait is KILLING me. i think about clemson every single day and run to the mailbox when i get home. i’m worried they are saving all the rejections for now and have already accepted the majority of applications they plan on accepting.

I’d be willing to bet not. Be positive!

Nothing in Georgia-

Nothing way up here in MA

Clemson Admission’s twitter said that letters were NOT mailed today, but that there was a record breaking number of applicants.

So noone will have them before the 15th.

Thanks tigerin13,
I don’t twitter, so that is good to know. Darn, I’m going out of town for the long
weekend but I do live in NC, so if sent tomorrow, it’s not unreasonable, but I’m thinking next week :/

My DD applied in August and is STILL waiting. With the recent tweet, looks like she won’t hear anything until at least Feb.19th because of the Monday holiday. Wow!

“Many schools (if you don’t apply early) won’t even notify you till April 1st haha”

Yes, but most schools do have an early option, if the particular school is really important to you. My daughter applied to University of Miami in December and won’t hear until April (She has gotten into schools she prefers already), but those who applied ED heard in December, so if it was your top choice, you could go that route (EA heard in early February). But, as I said, UF in Florida is almost as bad as Clemson, notifying people last Friday. They do, however, notify online so everyone can definitely find out that day (though it was about 2 hours of clicking refresh because their site was so crowded). And, unlike Clemson, they don’t notify ANYONE beforehand, so at least, you don’t have to see others getting notified while you are not. No news is merely no news.

If they weren’t mailed today, then out-of-staters likely won’t hear until Tuesday or later.

Are these acceptances being mailed out this week for early action applicants or for those who applied by Jan 14th as well?

And if they send as bulk mail instead of 1st class we West Coasters might not receive anything before the 25th!

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using CC

Its all early applicants for sure, then the rest are rolling. Some of the non-early applicants could hear back as well, although it would be the earliest if any of them do.

Yeah, the website says don’t call them until the 25th. It seems very optimistic of them!

Yeah just saw on the Clemson admissions twitter (@BeAClemsonTiger) that letters won’t likely be mailed till Friday morning. Kinda disappointing to hear that (usually they are on time)

We are very anxious here in NJ to hear from CLEMSON! My son goes to mailbox every day with shakey hands. Clemson is his 1st choice, but i have to say it is his “reach” school, so we are skeptical on the answer. Decent student, lacrosse player and would love to be apart of the Clemson club team, also alot of community service. He also has a recommendation from a family alumni, so i am guessing it could go either way. I purchased a tiger tail in hopes that he gets accepted and if he does my plan is to go to his high school and attach the tiger tail to his trunk and wait for him to come out of school and video his reaction, hahaha. Hope I have the opportunity to do this, I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

Awe, Laxboy, that’s so sweet. I’m waiting on Clemson too. I have a few other acceptances in my bag, but I love your plan of notification if all goes well.
Best of luck!! Keep us informed!

Checked twitter… Letters went out in the mail

Nothing in todays mail here in NJ!! The Stress is getting to my whole family.

I just got off the phone with Admissions at Clemson. Letters were sent today and they are sent regular mail, not bulk mail. Hoping we hear by Tuesday. Would have been nice to know before the long weekend.

Thanks for the update Chicagomomof2,
This information is much appreciated. I’m in NC so could be over the weekend or perhaps Tuesday. I agree about knowing before the long weekend. Best of luck to yours!

Just saying, but for those in NC, SC and Georgia, depending when exactly it went out they could be there tomorrow…

Doubt it though. Good luck!
