@gibbusoft -- what do you think you'll do now? If you'd be willing to go to a summer session, it might be worth approaching TAMU about the Aggie Gateway to Success program.

@josh -- yes there's stilll hope. We were expecting a rejection letter, since there was no indication on the site of any sort of admittance. But, instead a big packet came. I hope you get good news soon. Good luck to you!

Gibbu, what are your other options? I know kids who did the Blinn Team thing and really liked it. They lived on campus, took a couple of TAMU classes and a few Blinn. I think it is mostly transparent as some TAMU kids take filler courses at Blinn anyway.

@jayengine: I called Texas A&M admissions and talked to a counselor, she said that whatever they put for your status is all they could offer you, and not possible to be offered the gateway program.

Off to Texas Tech, unless this 15% chance kicks in.

Steven, A&M's logic makes no sense to me. If the 15% chance doesn't kick in, I know you'll do well at Tech. It's a good school, and I know many who are happy there. Take care, and best wishes.

My nephew got waitlist also, and offered Blinn Team. He is going to go to HCC this summer and take 12 hours, then take a full load this fall and try to make good grades and transfer into A&M for the spring semester.

Yes, he's going to do Blinn team, but he's going to try to get enough hours (24) to transfer into A&M asap- I think it has to do with what major he wants to go into, but I'm not sure why he isn't just doing the 2 year blinn thing.

Participating students are initially admitted to Texas A&M University on a part-time basis, and may earn full admission by several methods. Blinn TEAM students are enrolled in one academic course at Texas A&M each semester, and the remainder of their courses at the Bryan Campus of Blinn College . Students who complete 45 Blinn credit hours and 15 A&M credit hours within a two-year period, while maintaining a 3.0 grade point ratio at each school, are automatically admitted to Texas A&M. TEAM students who wish to transition to A&M sooner may compete for transfer admission when they meet transfer eligibility.

Transfer eligability being 24 graded college hours (doesn't include AP credit)

i am currently on the waiting list at A&M, and i was wondering if doing summer school at a community college counts towards your 60 hours at blinn team? And does your gpa you get at a community college count towards the 3.0 you have to maintain at blinn? I any one can help me out with this i would be greatly appreciated
