So, i called the admissions office, and they said my letter was sent out this last friday. I know that they still have auditions this weekend apparently, and that no rejections have been sent out yet so I'm not sure exactly what's going on...

I already received my letter about the invite to acceppted students, so I'm hoping this next one is more enlightening, because it states Letter from Dean of Students...

Keep the faith! A deference means they are still considering you.

My D auditioned on 2/28 and we found out that she was accepted for acting with a nice scholarship by looking at her Pointweb admission status on 3/12. Letter came 5 days later.
So excited! Point Park is her first choice. She auditioned for MT but she knows that a great acting program is better than a weak BFA MT program at other schools. She knows from experience -she auditioned as a transfer student.

Sashusmom - My D was also one of 6 pulled out for an acting callback on 2/28!

I think it is curious that the deferral letters say you will hear by April 1 and their next audition is not until April 4. Anybody want to make a guess as to what that means...?

My D auditioned at the Chicago unifieds the beginning of Feb. It sounds like no news might be bad news. Has anyone heard good or bad news from that audition or from an even later audition? I had the impression it would not take this long.

2Bornot2B- No news actually may be GOOD news. I know that when I auditioned (in November), it took longer for them to tell me of my acceptance because of figuring out scholarships and stuff.

However, my friend who auditioned for MT on Feb 28 got an acting acceptance a little over a week ago. SO who knows how they are doing this? But no news doesn't necessarily mean bad news yet.

soooo frustrating and funny at the same time. :-) D's status is the same on the Pointweb account except they updated the last correspondence from that Student Visit day card to a Missing Deposit reminder card! arrrrgh!

My daughter's status was updated to the missing deposit as well. She just auditioned this past Saturday. Never the less, this is a nerve-wracking wait. Thought you would want to know you are not alone. Also--a boy we know who auditioned as a walk-in at the NY unified just got an acceptance today. Best of luck to everyone.
