The letter said that students get admitted after EA deferral at a higher rate than the rest of the RD pool.

Does anyone have estimates or stats for what percentage get in after deferral?

I can't confirm this, but I remember hearing that for the class of 2009, it was about 13%.

Pretty positive it was 13% for the Class of 2010, compared to the 5.8% rate overall in the RD pool.

But, the main difference is that there significantly more students were deferred this year than last year (64% this year, I believe, compared to 48 or so percent last year), so that probably will change.

I still believe the statistic will stay around the same as Yale might be considered about yield with the drop in appications for SCEA.
