I was accepted as undecided to this college even though I selected the Engineering field. I'm thinking if I went to this school first year (as a freshman), will I be able to take the same classes as the people that were accepted straight into engineering major? Since I know that I want to become a mechanical engineer. Also, after the second year I would have to chose my major, will I have the same chances to get into the field as the people that were already accepted? Or is there a possibility that I would not get accepted to engineering because others were accepted first. If yes, then if my GPA would be really good these first two years would I have a good chance to get into it?

When I called the office up they told my even though my math grades are way above average, my english SAT was not that good (English is not my first language). Also if all of the answers to above questions are a "no" would I have to retake the SAT's when I am in college to get into the field? Or if my grades were good enough in college they would just toss aside my SAT scored and just accept me into the field.

Sorry for asking so many questions from one question but I am just scared/confused since I really want to become a mechanical engineer and I don't want to mess up my life. If you need something more clarified just ask and I will rephrase my questions.
