It makes perfect sense C-Rev. I myself had Chicago and Georgetown among my 10 acceptances...so I know how it can be considered a "good dilemna".

Lucky you. I've only heard from my bottom 3, but luckily I got in all 3 of them(Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin). It's killing me to wait on Navy[2 noms so far], Army[1 nom so far], Michigan and Notre Dame. I just want to be at April 30 right now with a "good dilemma."

I've gotten in to McGill ( i took a gamble and only applied to umich and mcgill, luckily it paid off and i got in to both).

NA, you already got Wisconsin, so you can relax. Wisconsin is an incredibly well rounded university from an academic and social point of view.

Yeah I know Wisc is very good, but I might actually take Purdue over it because of Purdue's very good Aerospace program. The Naval Academy is my first choice, but I doubt I will get an appointment. After that, it's Michigan. It's just that I get that really strong connection feeling to UM. Both my parents, many aunts and uncles, cousins, as well as my great-grandfather(who recieved the DASA award sometime in the sixties) all went to UM. Needless to say my whole family is UM crazy. I worked at a YMCA of Michigan camp with a lot of Michigan students. Since I was very young, my parents brought me to games in A2. Over the past year, when I visited this fall, I went to the UM-Penn State game, and it was incredible. I'm also a hockey nut, so we went to the hockey game the night before. I just get the best feeling from UM, unmatch by any school I've seen. I'd be the happiest man alive if they accepted me. I'd pretty much do anything short of killing a person to get in. That's how much I want it.

id consider killing someone to get in

NA, you'd be nuts to chose Navy over Michigan! hehe Seriously though, good luck with the USNA and Michigan and think seriously before chosing Purdue over Wisconsin. My advice would be for you to major in Mechanical Engineering at Wisconsin because Wisconsin/Madison are far more fun and interesting than Purdue/West Lafayette. Besides, if you chose to change from Engineering to another major, chances are, Wisconsin would be much better at that major.

Well I doubt I will get an appointment to Navy, because my nomination wasn't a primary one, but I just have this attraction to the navy and naval service. I'll just wait to hear back from all my schools before making a decision, and I'll keep comparing my schools I've already been accepted to.

Anybody else hear from Purdue, Wisconsin, or Penn State and was accepted/denied from UM?

deferred early from harvard, recently accepted by UMich, waiting for the rest of my colleges
