I was really surprised to find out that I had been waitlisted at Villanova when I was accepted early action to Boston College, Babson College and Bentley College, most of which have lower acceptance rates. To be honest, I'm not sure that I care so much that I didn't get in (BC is top choice) but I'm just really curious as to what happened. Was there some normal thing that would cause Villanova not to accept students? Or was there a problem with my part of my application, like a horrible essay mistake. Anyway, if anyone has a similar prob/question lets chat....

Same situation here…only school I didn’t get into (and was waitlisted for) was Nova. I’m just as puzzled, as I was accepted early action into all the schools that I applied to: Boston College CSOM, Babson, Bentley, Northeastern, etc. with various merit scholarships from all. Although BC is currently my top choice, Nova was 2nd and I hoped that they would offer scholarship money, as BC offered absolutely nothing! Even more puzzling, is that other students/close friends from my high school, whose academic credentials (SAT scores, class rank, AP load, etc.) weren’t as strong as mine, got waitlisted/denied to some of the schools that I was accepted to (above), but they were accepted at Nova! Anyway, I just figured that I wasn’t the kind of student that they were looking for…despite being well rounded in both academics and non-academics (work, extra-curricular activities, sports, community service, etc.)…maybe it was my essay!
