Accepted early with/without scholarship?

<p>Please help your fellow/future applicants and report in here!</p>

<p>Today is Monday, February 2. It seems that that the first acceptances were postmarked Friday January 23 and continued to trickle out through Friday, January 28.</p>

<p>We've got a running tally of acceptances...

...but it's not clear if all of these early acceptances have received offers to interview for Trustee or Presidential scholarships.</p>

<p>If you have been accepted and you HAVE received a scholarship letter, what date were you accepted (postmarked- if you know it) and which scholarship are you being invited for?</p>

<p>If you have been accepted and you HAVE NOT yet received a letter inviting you to interview for one of those scholarships, would you please let us know here? Have you been notified of any other special circumstances for early admittance (interview for bacc/md, ?)</p>

<p>My S was accepted, his acceptance letter was postmarked on January 23rd and he has received a separate letter inviting him to interview for the Presidential Scholarship which was received on Friday January 30th.</p>

<p>I was accepted with a postmark of 1/28/2009, received 1/31/2009 and I applied before the scholarship deadline. As of now, I have no scholarship letter, and logging into the Caravan site, I can only see the Explore USC dates in April.</p>

<p>My letter was postmarked 1/28 and received 1/30. So far, no sign of a scholarship.</p>

<p>My acceptance letter was postmarked on 1/23 and I was able to register for a Presidential interview on caravan. I have not yet received a scholarship letter.</p>

<p>accepted 1/28, no scholarship letter or explore usc reservation possible so far.</p>

<p>i'm pretty certain people who got acceptance 1/23 are trustee and presidential candidates. Everyone else is either a bacc/MD acceptee or acceptee for another, lesser scholarship.</p>

<p>^that's what it seems like... It looks like they sent out all the Trustee and Presidential scholarships on the first day.</p>

<p>Son's acceptance came a week ago, Monday the 26th. Letter for trustee candidacy just came today, exactly a week later. Still hope for those of you who have not gotten your letters yet. :)</p>

<p>I recieved my acceptance letter on the 28th, postmarked the 23rd.
I haven't recieved any scholarship information yet, and the caravan website only gives me dates for April Explore USC. So not sure that your "1/23 acceptance" theory is correct, sitk.</p>

<p>oh. I recieved a letter for a BMD interview today though.</p>

and then my BMD interview was postmarked 28th.
I haven't received scholarship info either & Explore USC tells me nothing about scholarships. :(</p>

<p>It it provides some hope, the people who live in LA get the USC mail sooner than the people who live on the East coast.</p>

<p>Looks like those whose letters were sent on 1/28 will not be getting a major scholarship, if at all.. And I'm one of them :(</p>

<p>Same here ycang. Does anyone know, even though we most likely are not going to get one of the major scholarships, if we can still get a relatively large financial aid package? (depending on our EFC of course)</p>

<p>My acceptance was dated 1/28, received 1/30, and I just received a Dean's scholarship today, 2/9.</p>

<p>So keep checking the mail box!! It may be coming soon :)</p>

<p>Congrats 12layla12 that's great news! Are you by any chance an international student? I got my acceptance package through DHL cause I'm overseas and I was wondering if they send scholarship letters to us by DHL too..</p>
