Accepted federal loans to one school then deciding to switch schools?

Hey guys, got admitted to Irvine off the waitlist and I might choose to go there. However I paid the SIR and housing deposits for UC Davis already (I know I'm out $600 by going to Irvine). I was offered a Perkins loan and a Stafford loan and already accepted them on Davis' website. I was offered loans of the same amount at Irvine.

So my question is, if I choose to go to Irvine instead and cancel my SIR at Davis, do I need to do anything else as regards to the loans at Davis? Or do I just have to cancel the SIR, then SIR and accept the loans at Irvine instead?

SIR and accept the loans at Irvine instead. If you cancel your SIR to Davis, they will disregard your loans.

hey andrew are you a freshmen or transfer?

Freshman!

Though I’ve decided to stick with Davis for various reasons so the first post doesn’t affect me anymore :p
