What does this mean? Where should I go? I've always wanted to go to USC. I wish they would make a decision, what am I supposed to do for a semester? Can I accept at UCSD and then drop out and go to USC in January? Should I go to community college and then attend USC starting in January? I'm guaranteed admission in Jan. I've been deferred, is that different from the wait list? Is it better or worse? Need guidance...

You can attend a community college for a semester to get rid of some of your GE requirements. That is most likely the best path to take instead of just laying around for that time. So it means you are definitely in, just not for the fall quarter, is it better than a waitlist? Eh....I think waitlists stand a good chance of getting in Fall quarter. As to where you should go, where would you feel the most comfortable?

As a business major, we were actually advised to take econ (micro/macro) and possible a diversity class over the summer at a CC. So you could complete econ during your fall semester before you start at USC. Other classes you could take include GE's (Cat 1, 2, 3 or 5). THe business major also requires calc which you could also take unless you're waived w/ AP credit. So lots of options.

Are you kidding? Go to Europe: work on your Spanish, Italian, French. Come back in time to connect with the campus. Find out your housing ahead of time. Read books. Work as a waiter. Enjoy life. A semester does not a difference make. Trust me on this.
