Accepted for transfer to CAS, NYU vs umich?

So I recently received acceptance for winter transfer into CAS. I am a 3rd year already so I will be doing a 5th year at NYU and most likely will have 60 units transfer over.. I know, its a bit late for me. The main reason I am transferring colleges is to help myself with investment banking recruiting, which I know NYU will not really help if I can't transfer into Stern.

Anyways, I am looking to get into Stern if that is even possible for me. Please help me compare the econ at both of these schools. (There is no way I can get into Ross because its a 3 year program, but hopefully Stern)

Also please help me compare these 2 schools. I love the fact that NYU is in NY as I am asian and there is more diversity there. (I am coming from LA so I am looking for somewhere similar) The only thing I can really look forward to in Michigan is the sports and academics... Both costs the same for me +-$3k..

Thanks!!

bumpp… few threads about nyu vs umich but i have a different situation…

no one here wants to rep for nyu?..

Don’t go to CAS. Once you’re in, it’s nearly impossible to transfer to Stern. They won’t even consider the fact that you’re an internal transfer.

If you can’t get into Stern, I think the CAS Econ major is a pretty good choice. A friend of mine who graduated 2 years ago is in Stern now, and he says that the CAS econ majors are just as competitive for i-banking internships, provided you work hard.

NYU CAS Econ is very good. Personally, I was accepted to NYU and UMich and chose NYU. Namely because of the NYU location - being in NYC gives you access to some of the best internships anywhere. And internships do matter a lot

And you will not be able to transfer from CAS into Stern. NYU does not allow a transfer student to apply to transfer again into Stern.
