I have been offered a place on the waitlists of two universities. May I accept both of these places? If I am afterwards accepted from the waitlist but have changed my mind may I decline to attend, or is the waitlist acceptance binding?

I think it depends on the school.

No it doesn’t depend on the school. No school has a binding waitlist. You are allowed to accept multiple schools’ waitlist spots.

You can even do the following: Schools A and B offer you WL spot, while you accept and hold a spot at school C. A is your dream school, B less so.

Later B contacts you and grants you a spot. You accept B’s offer while informing C that you will no longer attend.

Later still, A contacts you and grants you a spot. At that point, you can still cancel B’s offer to accept A’s offer.

I understand thank you very much!
