Accepted RD

I just got my acceptance letter today! I'm from Minnesota and plan to major in pre-law. I'm interested to know who else has been accepted RD and if so, where he/she is from and what he/she plans to major in as well.

When was it postmarked?

March 15th.

I just got my letter today! Accepted!

I'm in California.. i haven't received anything. i realyl hope that doesnt mean i'm rejected, but i sort of doubted that i'd get in anyway =(

got my letter today- rejected. im in CA, so you should get yours soon.

I got waitlisted. Hooray!

I got accepted too - live in NY. :)

Accepted from Tx!

Are you guys planning on going to one of the admitted student weekends?

About a month ago I told you you were getting in. You bring regional diversity among other things.

Congratulations Moocow - I am so glad you got accepted. Macalester is a great school and I hope you come to Minnesota. Also - as a result of global warming, it has not been that cold here in the Winter and we have had real springs lately.

Thanks!

I definitely enjoy the cold - maybe not St. Paul, MN cold, but I'm desperate to escape the heat down here in houston. I lived in London the first half of my life, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to handle the weather...maybe not, though. :)

I'm in! I'm from Portland, Oregon.

I really would like to come visit soon. I wonder if I'm tough enough for those harsh Minnesota winters.

I got accepted, im from NYC
plan to major in history or political science

ah man, i got rejected. sort of expected it though, so im not that sad. the hampshire acceptance/scholarship sorta softened the mac blow.

accepted!!!
yay

i think i am going to attend one of the weekends, depending on where else i get into school come april 1

Rejected today.

Oh well, I didn't really want to go.

My daughter was rejected -- which astounded us. Mac was a "safety/match." She has many friends who attend the college and her grades, test scores, EC's, etc. are far superior to theirs.

In addition to the sting of being rejected by her top choice, my daughter is concerned about her chances at remaining schools (mostly reaches). However, the day after her rejection from Mac, she received a "named" merit award from the U of M/Twin Cities -- the kind that comes with a waiver for press releases and other U of M publicity. That helped her mood a lot!

Mac is a great school -- contratulations to those who are accepted! For those who were not, there still may be a rainbow (with a pot of gold attached) !

any of the Internationals got their decisions ??

I was really disappointed with my financial aid, though. Their national merit award was 2,000 per year. Other schools I applied to that were comparable are giving out 13,000 annually. As for the need based aid, I got crap too. This sucks, I really wanted to go to Mac.
