Accepted/Rejected 2010

Yeah, you’re definetly border line for being accepted, but I don’t think they’d flat out reject you. Probably just defer. When I got in, I had a lower SAT score, but the same ACT score. Do you know what your mid-senior year grades are yet? Because your gpa is a little on the low side. If you are able to bring the unweighted up to at least a 3.0ish, I think you should be good. Good luck!

You’re better off sending your children to community college for two years than even bothering with FGCU.

I sent my application in later September and they sent me my acceptance letter in about than two weeks. I’m very excited to be going to UCF as it was my top choice. In fact, I didn’t even send out any other applications since I knew so soon.
My stats:
GPA: unweighted-3.7 weighted-4.3
ACT: 27
SAT: 1070
AP: Sophomore-1, Junior-3
Dual Enrollment (FGCU): Senior-5 (15 hours credit)
Extra Curr.: 8 years competitive dance, chorus, National Honor Society, school plays, drama club

Applied for housing at the end of December, hoping to hear soon…how long does it usually take to get your confirmation date?
Also auditioning for the BFA Musical Theatre program on Saturday…I’m excited!

Good Luck SingAnnaSing on your audition and congratulations on being accepted to UCF, your #1 school!

I’m an OOS and UCF appealed to me with their $104,000 4-year scholarship for National Merit Finalists. Still waiting to hear if I’m selected or not (comes in February), but I didn’t get the rejection letter that people received in early January. fingers crossed

ok got summer housing confirmed:)

i have a question. on the site it said a decision has been made on febuary 4th, but since of the large snow storms the mail has not been coming to my house. Today I got an email about housing. Do they send that email to everyone including the deferred, waitlisted, and rejected or is it only for the accepted students?

ignore my last post, I GOT IN FOR FAll 2010!!!

Ive been accepted to PSU and UCF and now I’m trying to decide beteween the two. My dream school was UNLV, but I decided I’d go there for grad school. My ultimate career goal is to end up in a management position in the Disney World Resort, which is originally why I was looking into UCF. It will actually cost me more to go to UCF because I’m out of state, so now I’m just trying to decide what I should choose. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hey to anyone who can answer this, I have a quick question. If I sent a second transcript in with mid-year grades should there some indication of them receiving it on my application status page? As of today it only says an initial transcript has been received however I sent the second transcript over a month ago. Does that mean they never got my mid-year grades? I’m thinking I may have re-send them.

i think you would do best to go to UCF if you want a management position @ DW. You will be more likely to make connections or have professors that have connections with DW that can get you started out with an internship there to get your feet planted.
