If you were accepted to SEAS ED and want to get to know other individuals who were accepted this is the place to be. Post anything you want us to know about you and just get to meet others in your class of 2010!!!

Im interested in what majors you guys put...I had undecided engineering because I just didnt know. How many of you were undecided and how man y decided already?

ps congrats again for all those who made it, look forward to seeing yall next year!

Bioengineering here....if any of you guys wanna IM me or something my sn's nyy233

I also applied undecided because I'm not 100% sure, but my favorites are biomedical and chemical. I had originally applied to M&T but didn't get it, anyways I'm soooo excited to have been accepted to SEAS at least!! :D

BTW, I'm from Panama and I'm looking forward to moving to Philadelphia and meeting you all soon! GO PENN 2010!!!

whats up guys...i got into SEAS too, i think im going to major in chem. eng. and get a dual degree from the Wharton school (BS.E in econ.)....yea lol. anwyays, its tight that we all got in! see you guys

heyy we should leave s/ns or myspaces or something to let us keep in touch!!!

chemical engineering here too, doesnt it seem like all the seas applicants frm this site got in?

yes, seems like we will have a high acceptance rate for SEAS here at CC! And all of this despite the alleged 42% increase in SEAS applications, remember? I was so scared when those news first came out!

no... no it doesn't :p

wasup everybody.. yetibeast, im plannin to do a dual degree with wharton too (in finance) since i applied to m&t but didnt get in

im undecided...my sn is lishnik21...totally excited as hell.

for those of you who say you wanna do a dual with wharton...im all for that in fact i would consider it myself...but isnt that a little ambitious considering the amount of work we're already gonna have to do just for eng..

im going in with the mindset that "nothing is worse than 6 IB classes and AP Physics C". lol hopefully that will help me get through eng. but as for wharton...ive never taken a business class in my life, ill probably get like a D- in intro to Econ. lol

im going in with the mindset that if i got into m&t, i would be doing the same amount of, if not more, work. the only reason i applied to seas early is because i was planning to dual degree there (in case i didnt get in to m&t)- so, you know, its not that bad when you think of it like that. that being said, m&t is crazy hard so i know im gonna have to work my ass off...

Yeah I didn't get into M&T but was accepted to SEAS. I may do the dual degree with Wharton also, but hey now I've got a year to decide if I wanna do the business thing. So I'd say it worked out pretty well. Undecided Engineering (maybe computer or chem) and I'm from South Fla.

where in FL?

i'm thinking chem or bioengineering

guys I think I may have asked this somewhere else...but if you do dual degree you don't have a lot of the time saving qualities that M&T would provide (as far as I know you don't take EVERY class required for both degrees)...but wouldn't you have to for Dual. I would looove to get a degree from Wharton as well..I think I want to combine my eng with business as well, but is it really possible to do dual degree, and still get good grades in both...AND still have a social life??

hey guys.. i applied to m&t but got accepted to seas and i'll be majoring in chem eng... i really wanted to do business as well but i am a little relieved coz yea either way -- m&t or dual degree -- i'm sure we'd have no time for anything else.. from what i hear it takes a lot of time to major in eng single degree..

i still want to do a dual degree, i say when school starts we all get together and go visit the penn couseling office (or whatever its called). I'm pretty sure since we all got in we'll be capable of pursuing a dual degree. Also, whats the difference between m&t and just staying there for 5 years (instead of 4) and getting a dual degree?

Dual degree can be done in 4 years. The main problem is getting in. The transfer/dual process is very competitive if you're in engineering. Only about 25 ppl from SEAS get in during each session. Requirement is a 3.66 for the first shot, or a 3.5-3.6 for the 3rd semester shot. They don't care how difficult your courses are or how many you take, just GPA counts.
