Is the Accepted Students Celebration primarily for students who were accepted to RPI but have not made the decision to attend? My daughter has already made the choice for RPI and I would like to know if this event would be worthwhile for us to attend, since we will be traveling quite a distance from out of state, or would it be better to wait for orientation in the summer.

You can wait for orientation, it isnt required to go to accepted student celebration

Yes, it’s really geared for students who are still deciding where to attend. There isn’t much, if any, opportunity to get to know other students and RPI here is trying to cater to students who are still undecided. I went and I was decided on RPI and it was basically a waste. For out of state, I would say it’s not worth it.

Thank you, CSMathAsa and cortana431, for your advice. We will wait for the orientation in the summer.
