Accepted Students Day

S got a letter today from Dodge College telling him about an Accepted Students Day on April 19th. We were planning a trip there in April anyway, so we'll schedule around that. Anyone else here planning to go?

I didn't get that letter. Hmm.

Yup, my son got that letter yesterday. We are planning to go as well.

We got an email but no letter. We are planning on going! (from Dallas-Ft. Worth area)

Hmmm....maybe we can all put a tiny "cc" in the corner of our nametags. :-)

I just sent in my intent to register to Chapman today! I'm excited! I guess I'll see you guys April 19th!

Yes, we are going!

We are wondering whether we should do the Dodge College tour before Saturday (we're arriving about noon on Thursday). Does anyone know what all we will be doing on Accepted Students day?

I will give them a call on Monday and post what I hear. Dodge College is pretty impressive so you will want to see it for sure.

i emailed admin abt when it will end and what the day will be like, n heres wut they said:

Check in will begin at 8am, with the first session starting at 9am. It will include a continental breakfast and a buffet lunch. The program should end around lunch time, so you can shoot for about 1pm. The day will consist of different break out sessions for programs on campus, departments, and residence life.

i can't wait to see dodge college... hopefully it'll convince my dad to let me go. =)).

It's impressive! If you can, go to Knott Studios at a scheduled time with some tourguide to explain what happens in each room. I don't know but I hope they'll do that for you during Accepted Students Day. If not, it's still impressive but for parents it will mean more if someone comments on the purpose of the equipment in each room. I know they make that kind of tour available at your freshman student orientation, anyway.

Also don't miss the lounge in Knott Studios where someone donated a large collection of autographed photos of some film greats; actors and directors, as I recall. It's on permanent display there. I found it inspiring. Your parents might recognize some of the "oldies" on the wall, even if you say, "wha? who?" I liked that someone donated an entire collection of valuable photos, so you can see a sweep of film history.
