Accepted thread!!!

I got in! I'm in-state and received it a few weeks ago. I also got the Welcome packet a week or two later. Reassuring, to say the least.

I got my honors program acceptance on Friday (along with a full scholarship offer)! I applied back in December.

screw you guyzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Congrats, Firefly!

I never got my welcome packet... I was accepted in November. I sent an email to the admissions office, though, so hopefully I'll have something in the next week or so.

Honors already?! What?! Wow...that's much sooner than I anticipated.

When do we hear about any scholarships? I applied before that priority deadline, as well to Honors, so do I hear about any scholarships when I get either an acceptance or rejection from the honors program? Or is it separate?

Have any OOS applicants who applied around the deadline been accepted yet and if so, what were your stats?

I dunno, they might have given me a priority reading because I have like a quintuple legacy at UW. I don't know how highly UW values legacies. My Honors essay wasn't anything special, so I don't know why I got accepted so early :/

Juanmarco - Congrats! how long ago did you get your original acceptance letter to the University? Just trying to figure out how far out they are reading the honors apps.

Thank you :)
If I remember correctly, I think I got a letter admitting me to UW. Then a few weeks later I got the UW regular admissions packet and the UW Honors admission letter at the same time. I think I got the original admissions letter around January 3rd and the Admission Packet/Honors Letter around January 20th? Not exactly sure, but I think those are the approximate timeframes.

^ Mmm...yeah. Legacy would explain it, I guess. Cause it really is early. My friend last year got a full ride and his letter was in late March. Unless they're doing it differently this year, of course.

I'm double legacy so I wouldn't say that is it (anyway UW says they don't pay attention to legacy). I think it is your stats. Looking at your previous posts to ivy boards, my guess is that is where they see you would be applying and they want to compete! Congrats!

I got my letter today, yay! That's a big burden off my shoulders (even though a counselor with which I was talking in early January said I'd be getting a decision in mid-February)!

Congrats to everyone!
Does anyone know when applicants who applied for the Jan. 15th deadline will be notified?

Casey is correct except acceptances can go out through mid January. Many of the early admits are honors applicants as the honors college can't assess the applicants until they are accepted.

I just got accepted by Honors program today.

Congratulations, Starmia! How did you hear -- a letter or email or what? What are your stats?

Honors at UW is my DS' first choice (and mine -- much less $$) so I'm very curious.

I also just got accepted to honors today. Seattle, WA resident BTW.
