Accepted to School of Music, now what?

So, I am OOS and was accepted into the School of Music and into my program, Recording Arts, which only takes 15 kids a year

They told me that they have sent my successful audition results to the UT Office of Admissions and now I just have to be accepted into UT

I got 1390 on my SAT, 3.3 GPA, No Rank, Very competitive private school, Good EC's, Recs, and Letters

I am very excited about my good results, but do you think I will be accepted to the school?

They only accept 150 out of 700 kids who apply to the School of Music, so this is great news, but I hope I get into the school!

CONGRATS.

Well considering that you have been admitted to a very competitive major I sure would hope you get into UT in general! LOL. Funny how that happens. You get into your major THEN the school...HAHA.

But I think you'll get in.

thanks for the support libby

i'm really happy and excited but don't want to get my hopes

hopefully I find out soon

anyone else have any thoughts?

Based on the fact you have been admitted to the school of music + you have good SAT and GPA.. you should be a shoe in.

even if for some weird reason the university rejects you, you could probably appeal and get accepted that way since you already got into the highly selective school of music.
