<p>I was accepted as well and will be attending Session A!</p>
<p>The -20 was a base temp, the windchill was about -40. We never get school cancelled for cold (rarely even for snow) so I was amazed when it was canceled for two days in a row. Even more unusual, my nordic ski coach cancelled practice! </p>
<p>marciemi- I am also looking at USNA and AFROTC, but mainly as backups for the AFA. I will have to get out of school a few days early for AF summer seminar, too. I am not sure if I will be able to fit NASS into my schedule (I am a counselor at Girl Scout camp for a week every summer, and it just happens to be the same time as NASS), but will definitely go if I can. My dad is a USAFA grad and my mom did ROTC. Both were pilots, but I am looking mainly at engineering.</p>
<p>Falcongirl- Just curious, what part of the wonderful state of Minnesota are you from. If you don't feel like answering for OpSec reasons, that's understandable. I'll just say that from where I live, i've been able to canoe to the big lake in 1 day from a boat landing 6 blocks from my house.</p>
<p>I was surprised my school got it off even 1 day. One of my classmates, her dad is the advisor for weather related school closings, and they used to live in Bemidji where she claims -60 base was common. She claimed we'd never have school closed due to cold because it was never closed there!</p>
