Right I just haven't been accepted. I'm kinda like Sunset...Annenberg, pacific northwest, IB school, lots of good extra curriculars.

Starting to look like it's gonna be the UW :/

Oh well, still a great school...

My S has a friend with and awesome GPA, ASB, IB diploma, but with an 1850ish SAT and applied to Annenberg. She has not heard either, but I can't believe she won't get accepted. And looking at all your stats I think the same for you guys.

Annenberg has been behind the curve on acceptances for the last two years. If you search the threads, I think they had a flood of acceptances starting around this time.

You guys for sure have a good chance still. Hang in there.

Fight On!

I applied in CLAS I haven't seen alot of acceptances there either.

glad i'm not the only one with lower stats I was honestly beginning to freak out.

a few people from my school got in with mid 1900s! just relax everyone, im nervous too but everyone should realize that mostly overachievers post on this website

Above 2000s is not really overachieving.... To me, my 2180 best one-sit SAT and 2210 superscore is one of my greatest failures in life. But I guess we all have different standards with which we judge ourselves and others. Just remember that the SAT does not necessarily test intelligence and is not the most reliable measure of ability to do well in college. A solid GPA AND SAT means an excellent ability to do well in college.

Your 2210 and "biggest failure" would be absolutely unachievable for me - so it's not really a matter of what standards you set for yourself - I would have loved a 2200 - just wasn't going to happen no matter how many times or how much practice I did.

Colleges want an entire class of interesting, bright, creative and accomplished students. Some may have lower scores, but offer unique talents. Others may be future professors, entrepreneurs or inventors.
There are very few possible Trustee Scholars who have posted here. Their scores are in the top percentile.
I visit another board where SC alumni post. In 2008 there were disappointed dads who had seniors with scores near 2300 who were not admitted. Reports were posted last year of National Merit Scholars who were not admitted. College admissions today can be a mystery.

I agree with GeorgiaGirl 100%. USC is a private school and therefore has more discretion with admissions. Oftentimes, at a public school you simply take SATs, GPAs, how many available spots that are in a major...and voila, it is a yes or no.

Thank you ellebud and Georgia Girl - We'd all like to think we are more than the number right. That's what I liked about applying to USC - they actually wanted to interview you

I know this is a dead/dying thread, but I’d like to add that I was accepted to engineering with a 1970, 660 in math.

It’s possible.

b mad if u want to pple who didnt get n. but pple who hope to get n. i will say that my sat score was a 1650. no lie. so don’t lose hope. colleges really want to know what you can provide for there school. I’ve published two poetry books and I’m a state and national oratory champion. also national invisible children hero, the face of the schools for schools campaign. sats are not everything. n its not jus cuz usc is private. i got accepted to ucla as well.

Got in with a 1710.
