Has anyone been accepted with an SAT score below 2000? Mine is 1970 and I think I'm cooked.

my friend got accepted with a 1870.

he has a strong gpa and is president of asb

there are two people with SAT's in the 1800's who got in if you go back a few pages on the USC Stats Only Official Decisions thread... and I believe there are a few on this message board in the 1900's that have gotten in.

my low SAT's worry me too... :(

i hope we both get in! USC is my absolute dream school.

I'm a 1950 and I'm still waiting :)

1980 and i got in in January. There's hope!

Thanks you guys, I'm feeling a little better. I didn't think 1970 was bad until you look at that Decisions thread and it seems everyone is 2250 or above!!! My GPA is decent 3.9 Weighted but I just dont' know. My worst nightmare is they say YES we'd love to have you.... at full tuition. : (

a couple of my friends got in with 1820 and 1840s, however they had other
hooks that (most likely) got em in (URM. firstgen,)

i have a an 1900, and im still waiting, so YES YOU HAVE a good shot. just dont worry too much...:)

what does urm mean?

urm = unrepresented minority?

URM means underrepresented minority.

I have a 1960 superscored SAT and a 31 ACT and I'm first-gen and I'm still waiting too...

I thought I had a good chance but I am not so sure now.

I am still waiting to hear back. i barely just have a 2000. remember that the lower end of the range-average sat score for admitted freshmen is a 1960.

Somebody must...

Middle 50% of First Year Students
SAT Critical Reading........620 - 720
SAT Math.......................650 - 750
SAT Writing....................640 - 730

The 25th percentile adds up to 1910, and if you average the 25-75%, you get a 50% value of 2055.

I stopped in the middle of the application process for USC and I don't even remember sending them my transcript...however I got a letter from them in the mail requesting mid-year grades?? This ****ed me off because I didn't even send them any letters of recommendation, a resume, etc. but I would have if I knew they got my transcript somehow. I have 1920 SATs, 3.64 GPA and in top 3.6% (12/336). So I don't know how I'll do. There's no chance in hell I'm going there from CT...just applied to see if I could get in.

And Gilgamesh, I think you're fine with a 1970 as long as you have good class rank and extracurricular activities..

I have a 2070, a 3.7 UW GPA, and boatloads of EC's varsity letters, etc. and haven't been accepted :/

chs - you just haven't heard yet right?

I scored a 2010 on the SAT (Writing: 750, Reading: 660, Math: 600) and a 28 on the ACT (English: 35, Reading: 31, Math: 24, Science: 21). Clearly, you can see where my strengths and weaknesses lie, based on my testing. Testing is not my thing, anyway.

I was accepted earlier this week to Annenberg. I was also accepted to UCLA, out of state, miraculously. This just goes to show that scores are not everything. I have a high GPA, full IB curriculum, strong ECs, etc. You all have a chance. Especially at USC, because their score range is much lower than other top schools.

Congrats Sunset! If you don't mind my asking, what was your UW GPA and how many AP's did you take? :)

Unweighted GPA was a 3.932. After the mid-year report, it should have shown up as about 3.91.

I'm an IB Diploma candidate. That translates to "my life is Hell". I'm taking 6 IB classes and I took 5 IB classes last year. Happy, happy, joy, joy. I do a lot outside of the classroom, too. Good luck everyone!

we have almost exact stats...what does your status page say?

Do not give up hope! My daughter had some very special ecs, but her SAT (last year) was 1750.
